Town of Gilmanton - Police Officers (2)
The Gilmanton Police Department is now seeking qualified applicants for two full-time Police Officer positions (also seeking NH Certified Officers for fulltime or part time positions). The Department has 5 full time sworn officer positions and services a community of approximately 3,800 residents.
Candidates will provide general public safety, enforce traffic and criminal law, conduct criminal and accident investigations, and participate in community policing activities.
All applicants for the Gilmanton Police Department must be a United States citizen, possess a high school graduate or GED certificate; and meet the state age requirement of at least 18 years. Military experience is highly desirable. Preference is given to Certified New Hampshire Officers. Certified out-of-state applicants are welcome to apply. If not certified, candidate must successfully complete NH Police Standards and Training Full Time Academy.
Pay is commensurate with job specific experience. Benefits offered include Paid vacation, paid personal & sick leave, 11 paid holidays, Health Insurance, Dental, Life, Short Term Disability, Enrollment with NH State Retirement.
Applicants who meet the qualifications listed above must pass a physical fitness test, oral interviews, intensive background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological exam and a medical exam.
