The Friendly Kitchen is seeking an enthusiastic, and energetic kitchen manager to coordinate and support our volunteers and staff as they provide meals to the hungry in the Capital Region. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring safe food handling practices are followed; for scheduling volunteer groups and staff coordinators; ensuring the Kitchen is supplied and maintained; and training and supporting staff and volunteers. In addition, the Kitchen Manager will work in partnership with the Executive Director to develop and enforce policies that ensure a safe and rewarding experience for our volunteers and guests. Prior experience in food service and/or social services are a plus. ServSafe-certified or ability to achieve the same preferred.
