An opportunity has arisen within the Franklin Pierce University Frank. S. DiPietro Library for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team as a part-time Circulation Library Assistant.
This position provides library circulation services to students, faculty and staff as well as a variety of clerical services related to interlibrary loans, document delivery and course reserves. Essential duties of this position include:
- Circulating library materials,
- Answering patron inquiries, maintaining a strong service orientation at all times,
- Prepare and process interlibrary loan requests and materials.
Working on a regular part-time schedule, the hours of work are in the evenings and during the weekends, with the summer schedule varying from the fall and spring semesters.
Experience and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- Associates’ degree,
- previous experience that includes a minimum of one to two years library experience preferable,
- three to four years of relevant administrative and supervisory experience,
- excellence in customer service is desired,
- a good general knowledge of library organization and systems, with some previous circulation or public services experience preferred.
