This role is also responsible to develop, manage, train and communicate key processes that will drive consistency to all areas that generate change, for existing and new products. You will be responsible to ensure product team members understand and know the processes in place to: Manage materials, document the designs, revise and build requirements for both new and existing products.
Apply standard operating procedures and best practices to manage product Data, Document and Change.
Guide others to properly apply interchangeability and revision management practices, as well as, facilitate the development of bills of materials and product structure.
Technically review the impact of changes to product designs and edit change notices where applicable.
Interpret impact of changes to materials inventory and production build
Ability to understand implications of data integrity, analyze trends and guide others to corrective action.
Evaluate business processes, identify gaps, and implement changes for improvement.
Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new or upgrade existing business systems.
Must possess outstanding communication skills at all levels of the organization. Will be expected to take the initiative to collaborate across team boundaries, facilitate meetings and train others.
Effectively organize work and quickly prioritize tasks to achieve Product Introduction schedules
Define project steps necessary to accomplish a specific task and delegate to others to complete.
Expected to apply structured problem solving methods to identify corrective and preventative actions.
Hold others accountable for results and drive issues to conclusion.
Expertise with all MS Office products, including SharePoint, required.
Proficiency with ERP, Product Data Management (PDM), CAD and Electronic Change Systems.
Exposure to requirements associated with ISO 9001 compliance and certification.
Education and /or Experience
5 years of Documentation Control and Engineering Change Management
Experience in a Concurrent Product Development environment
Minimum of Associates degree required, BS or BA preferred
