Confluence is a short-term residential mental health program providing treatment to young adults with psychological, emotional, and relational challenges. Confluence is a clinically-intensive therapeutic program with a focus on whole person health, including nutrition, physical health and wellness. Confluence is seeking a part-time Kitchen Manger to join our team.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the food program at Confluence, includind food and meal preparation and cooking. Nutrition and healthy eating are an integral part of the program and Confluence is seeking a health minded kitchen coordinator to facilitate and manage the dietary needs of our participants. The Kitchen Coordinator will work directly with mentor staff, the clinical team and interface with program participants but not serve in a direct supervision role. The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen/dining areas and managing food stocks and dry goods for the program.
This is a part time job from 9am-4pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Hours are flexbile.
Plans, organizes and directs dietary services
Ordering and procuring food from vendors
Maintaining a stocked kitchen and pantry at the residence
Meal Preparation (3-4 lunches/week)
Prep cooking for participant prepared meals (breakfasts/dinners)
Menu planning & record keeping associated with meals and kitchen needs
Preparing, packaging and dividing up meals for offsite group excursions,
Meeting and upholding regulations pertaining to food service, storage, dietary needs, meal schedule documentation and cleanliness.
Maintaining, ordering and stocking dry goods essential to the function of the residence
Light housekeeping in kitchen and dining areas
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Commercial Kitchen experience preferred
Experience in inventory and ordering of goods preferred
Previous human services experience preferred
Working knowledge of food and kitchen safety
Organization and time-management skills
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
Interest in nutrition and healthy holistic living and eating
Must be able to pass comprehensive background check
Competitive hourly pay rate
