Miller Truck Leasing is hiring immediately for an Assistant Service Manager for our Diesel Maintenance shop in Franklin, MA. The Assistant Service Manager will be assisting the Service Manager in enhancing customer relations, properly managing the facility costs, facility employees and performing administrative duties.
Requirements
You Will have the following responsibilities as an Assistant Service Manager:
Service Management:
- Assist with PM Scheduling, Parts Inventory, Purchase Orders and Invoicing
- Answer phones promptly & professionally
- Handle various requests for information from Clients and Corporate
- Maintain various logs as needed using MS/Excel
- Prepare any customer correspondence as needed
- Meet monthly closing schedule deadlines
- All Miscellaneous Billing and Credits
- Quality and Accuracy of Customer Billing with Sufficient Justification and explanation
- In Service New Customers, Out Service Vehicles
- Communicate all Customer Problems
- Daily data input of accounting documents including repair orders and purchase orders
Rental Functions:
- Will be responsible for the preparation of rental invoices as needed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, following established company procedures. Follow all company guidelines in the quoting of rental rates. The Rental Director will approve any deviation from company guidelines.
- On a daily basis, s/he will update the Rental Manager of all rental operations, lost rental sales, accidents, customer requests, etc., so that the Rental Manager may effectively manage his department.
- Maintain rental availability information board, as well as rental and leasing mileage collection
- Yard checks, rental contract preparation, insurance verification
Clerical Functions:
- Update computer records as needed
- Keep insurance information current on all clients (verify as necessary)
- Assist with License Renewals and New Registrations
You Have:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- High school diploma, trade school, or the equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Diesel Maintenance facility with strong technical/mechanical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and in person
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. (CDL or ability to get one with assistance of our trainers within 90 days)
