Job Description

Job DescriptionTutor builds robotic systems that automate complex picking, packing, and handling tasks in real-world manufacturing and logistics environments across the U.S. Our robots are running in production today, and we move quickly. We’re scaling manufacturing and field operations, and we need a Parts Coordinator who can keep our supply chain tight, organized, and accurate.Inventory & Parts Management

  • Own the day-to-day management of the inventory room
  • Maintain accurate counts in ION and make sure the physical inventory always matches the system
  • Receive, QC, label, and store incoming parts
  • Issue parts kits for production builds, field upgrades, repairs, and R&D requests
  • Track and manage fast-moving consumables, hardware, and critical spares

Shipping & Logistics

  • Prepare and ship parts for customer sites, techs on the road, and R&D builds
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure all shipments are labeled, documented, and tracked
  • Build outbound kits (upgrade kits, repair kits, replacement components) with zero defects

Materials Coordination

  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify shortages early
  • Flag low stock levels and work with the Buyer to release PRs
  • Make sure upgrade campaigns have every part staged and ready in advance
  • Help maintain the AVL and support part transitions/obsolescence

Quality

  • Ensure all incoming parts are QC’d—correct quantity, revision, finish, and labeling
  • Communicate defects or supplier issues immediately
  • Apply QC stamps and maintain traceability in ION

Who You Are

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced robotic hardware environment
  • Experience with inventory systems (ION/First Resonance is a plus)
  • Able to lift 40+ lbs and move parts around the shop
  • Clear communicator who keeps Manufacturing and Maintenance unblocked
  • A mindset of “quality over speed,” but with urgency and ownership
  • Can run with a process and improve it as we scale

Nice to Have

  • Experience in robotics, hardware startups, or electromechanical assembly
  • Familiarity with BOMs, part numbers, and engineering change processes
  • Shipping/receiving experience (UPS/FedEx/FEDEX Freight)
  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical parts

Final offer based on qualifications, experience, and skillsOvertime and on-call opportunities may be available based on field needs
This job is the backbone of hardware reliability. If the right parts aren’t in the right place at the right time—and in the right condition—production slows down, upgrades stall, and customers feel it. You will be a critical part of keeping our robots running across the country.
