Position Title: Barback
Department: Operations
FLSA Designation: Part Time, Non-Exempt
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Barback provides support to both concession and bar areas before and during events, ensuring all service points are fully stocked and operational. By collaborating with event personnel, the Barback helps the team maintain a seamless pace and deliver a premium experience to all guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Set up and stock the bars and Concessions areas before, during, and after events.
- Be attentive to product stock levels to ensure we have appropriate inventory continuously.
- Complete POS transactions at terminals and assist with troubleshooting.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing the stockroom.
- Assist with beverage preparation.
- Ensure the bar and concession areas are clean and organized.
- Move and assemble portable bars for events.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to the organization’s values at all times and in all interactions with staff, volunteers and members of the public.
- Fully comply with the organization’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of all spaces.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work nights and weekends with occasional weekday afternoons.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with or willingness to learn the POS cash register system.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow verbal and written directives.

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull, and twist in some instances.
- Ability to move throughout theatre environment and building, and continuously perform essential functions for an extended period of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- TIPS Certification preferred.
