Summary:
- To provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facility.
- The role supports daily warehouse operations including handling materials, fulfilling orders, and ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely processing in various temperature environments.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and shipment per procedures and customer requirements.
- Maintain high quality standards to ensure customers receive correct products on time.
- Receive materials/finished goods daily; verify quality, type, amount, and documentation (e.g., packing lists).
- Work in warehouse environments including room temperature (59–86°ree;F), cold rooms (36–46°ree;F), and freezer rooms (-4–23°ree;F).
- Safely operate distribution equipment as required.
- Follow established procedures for shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Maintain accuracy in all job functions to avoid schedule delays.
- Start work on time daily and maintain strong attendance.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years related experience.
- Ability to consistently follow policies, procedures, instructions, and meet schedules.
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (including at various heights).
- Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to recognize deviations from standard practices.
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments (ambient, cold, and freezer).
Desired Skills
- Experience in logistics within a life science company.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to understand and interpret team metrics.
