A fantastic school district located in Burlington, MA is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement, emotional wellness, and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and support.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct counseling and support services to students based on individual needs and IEP/504 goals

Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development and address barriers to learning
-
Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention or support plans
-
Conduct assessments and maintain documentation of student progress and case notes
-
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
-
Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution efforts
-
Connect students and families with community resources and external agencies
-
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
-
Active Massachusetts DESE School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor License (PreK12)

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
-
Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred

Previous experience in a school setting or with children/adolescents strongly preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, behavioral supports, and mental health interventions
