We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned preventive maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs. This role involves executing emergency repairs and adjustments efficiently while production lines are running, modifying or fabricating equipment to improve production processes, and maintaining building facilities such as wastewater treatment, refrigeration, and steam systems. The installation of new equipment to enhance current production processes and ensure maximum reliability of the facility and equipment are also key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Conduct emergency repairs and adjustments during production.
- Modify and fabricate equipment to enhance production processes.
- Maintain building facilities including wastewater, refrigeration, and steam systems.
- Install new equipment to improve production efficiency.
- Ensure maximum reliability of the facility and equipment.
Essential Skills
- Troubleshooting
- PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Preventive maintenance
- Experience with wastewater treatment and refrigeration systems
- Experience with steam system tool suite
- Ability to perform emergency repairs and adjustments

- Effective communication within the department
- Ability to learn, operate, and adjust multiple processing equipment
- Multi-tasking and organized work habits
- Experience in a food processing environment is a plus

Work Environment
This position is based in a food processing plant where the facility can be cold, around 45 degrees. Appropriate attire, including gowns, hair, and facial nets, is required. You will be part of a company with a rich history in the food business since 1880, producing gourmet soups, sauces, side dishes, and entrees.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
