POSITION: Loan Operations Representative

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time

LOCATION: Gilford, NH (BNH Operations Center) & Hybrid Remote Opportunity

CORE FUNCTION:

Responsible for the daily processing of work assigned to the Loan Operations Department. Assists with all customer calls received within the department. Build strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective customers through providing quality service and becoming a trusted resource for customers. Provides additional departmental support as approved and directed by the supervisor.

PRIMARY DETAILS OF FUNCTION: (essential functions are in bold type)*

  1. Processes financial transactions to include, but not limited to, posting loan payments, payoffs and escrow disbursements. Demonstrates efficiency and sound practices of financial transactions and account balancing.
  1. Performs all required office operational functions including, but not limited to, file maintenance, non-post resolution, scheduled rate updates, insurance servicing & remittance and real estate tax servicing & remittance.
  1. Ability to book to the core; service and payoff all loan products offered by BNH.
  1. Provides excellent customer service to all loan customers.
  1. Maintains a thorough knowledge of all bank products, services, policies and procedures. Understands federal and state regulations and compliance issues in order to receive a score that is consistent with skill set, or higher, in all required compliance testing.
  1. Training and Education: Actively participate in bank training sessions to enhance individual product and service knowledge, understanding of policies and procedures, computer equipment skills and understanding of federal and state regulations and compliance issues.
  1. Complies with the Bank Secrecy Act (31 CFR 103) which also includes components of 12 CFR 326 Subpart B and the 12 CFR 353 and OFAC regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Varied work with a normal expenditure of energy and little or no unusual physical effort. Manual dexterity, visual attention and practical application needed for frequent operation of standard office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, typewriters and fax machines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Well-lighted and ventilated office environment. This is a fully in-office position requiring regular on-site attendance during standard business hours. Limited remote work flexibility may be considered based on performance, tenure, and department guidelines.

PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS:

Works cooperatively with all employees to achieve the goals and objectives of the bank’s Mission Statement.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a detail-oriented role performing similar duties and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with experience working with PDF documents (viewing, editing, organizing, and managing files).
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and utilize business systems with strong technical aptitude.
  • Experience working in a paperless or low-paper environment, including digital document management, electronic workflows, and file organization.
  • Strong skills in professionalism, communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient keyboarding and computer skills with the ability to learn new systems efficiently.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
