Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an operational risk management professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience within the investment management industry (including consulting, independent audit, or investment management service provider experience) and direct experience with ERM frameworks and GRC applications, and controls design and monitoring of risks in a technology and data focused operational platform.
Additional qualifications include:
1. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operational or enterprise risk management within investment management or related financial services.
2. Demonstrated expertise in GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms, with a track record of building and optimizing GRC programs and leading risk initiatives across complex businesses.
3. Proven ability to coach and advise business leaders on core risk topics, including RCSA, KRIs, control design and testing, and effective risk mitigation strategies.
4. Skilled in translating risk concepts into practical guidance, training materials, and actionable insights. Strong analytical and communication abilities, leveraging data analytics and visualization tools to drive robust risk reporting and decision-making.
5. Ability to balance strategic and tactical priorities, both at the firm wide and regional levels
6. Ability to perform risk assessments for new and existing business initiatives and processes.
7. Demonstrate effective negotiation and conflict resolution within the team and with relevant stakeholder
8. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the firm's first line business operations and strategic priorities in developing innovative solutions and driving change
9. Proactive, collaborative, and influential thought partnership with stakeholders in providing advice based on comprehensive industry knowledge, risk, and regulatory trends impacting the firm
10. Contributes to the evolution of risk management principles, and industry best practice
11. Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (FRM, PRM, CFA) preferred.
