The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department at The Lake Estate. This position ensures that the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest level, providing guests with a comfortable and pleasant environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities, including room turnover, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Train, mentor, and lead a team of housekeeping staff to achieve and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure compliance with established cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to optimize efficiency and coverage.
  • Manage and control the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to address guest requests and special requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols within the housekeeping department.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new housekeeping team members.

Education and Skills:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or in a related field, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
