Compensation

Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 DOE

**This is an in-office position in Bedford, NH. Some flexibility for hybrid or limited remote work may be available.

The Controller plays a pivotal role in the financial health and integrity of the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Assist in the Development of the annual budget process.
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and oversee the preparation of payroll tax filings.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing recommendations.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization.
  • Continuously assess and improve accounting policies and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least seven years of experience in the accounting field required
  • Proven experience in financial management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
