Buyer
Our well-respected manufacturing client needs a Buyer for their team! This full-time, interim role is perfect for a relationship builder with at least four years of experience.
 
Responsibilities of the Buyer
 
<ul>
<li>Acquire inbound materials and services in a timely manner</li>
<li>Manage formalized risk mitigation programs to reduce vulnerability of supply chain interruptions</li>
<li>Qualify suppliers and maintain effective supplier relationships focused on availability, quality, and cost</li>
<li>Use Excel, MRP, and ERP systems to track purchasing activities</li>
<li>Issue POs</li>
<li>Drive internal procedure improvements and deliver training to those improvements</li>
<li>Assist with inventory control and perform additional tasks as required</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications of the Buyer
 
<ul>
<li>4+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing</li>
<li>Proven experience with ERP and MRP systems and MS Excel</li>
<li>Excellent supplier relationship development</li>
<li>Strong negotiation and organizational skills</li>
</ul>
