Location: Boston, MA
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year
Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Sunday to Thursday)
(Training hours: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM until fully trained)

Stay-on Bonus $1500

A Profand Company is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this position, you'll support the Technical & Engineering department and ensure the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our food processing machinery and facility systems. With on-call availability and a key role in machine installations and facility upkeep, you’ll be part of a company dedicated to innovation and excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain & Repair Critical Machinery: You’ll inspect, maintain, and perform repairs on essential production equipment, including Multivac machines, thermoformed and thermosealed equipment, along with key facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Execute both preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.
• Commission & Startup of New Lines: Be responsible for the commissioning, assembly, and installation of new production lines and machinery, ensuring everything runs at peak efficiency.
• Support Plant Audits: Assist in preparing for and completing plant audits, ensuring all systems and equipment are up to compliance standards.

Key Attributes We’re Looking For:

• Problem-Solving Expertise: You’ll be tasked with resolving complex maintenance issues and continuously improving systems.
• Organizational and Planning Skills: Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage maintenance schedules.
• Self-Starter: Able to learn quickly and operate independently after training, especially during the second shift.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software to document and track maintenance work.
• Communication Skills: Able to work well with other team members and departments.
• Travel Flexibility: Able to travel between company locations as needed.
• On-Call Availability: Flexibility to be on call during weekends for machine installations or emergencies.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment, specifically with processing and production equipment.
• Experience with Multivac machinery is a MUST.

Languages:

• English (Required)
• Spanish (Preferred)

Shift Details & Availability:

• Full-time position with an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
• On-call availability with weekends as needed.
• Night shift (required) and Day shift (preferred).

Location & Commute:

• This is an in-person role based in Boston, MA 02210.
• Relocation to Boston is preferred before starting the role.
