Be the Steady Presence in the Quiet Hours — 3rd Shift Shelter Staff
At Waypoint, we believe that safety, respect, and compassion don’t keep business hours—they’re needed 24/7. We’re seeking a Part-Time 3rd Shift Shelter Staff Member (11:30 PM–8:00 AM, 2 shifts per week / 16 hours total) to help keep our Young Adult Shelter running smoothly through the night and into the early morning.

What You’ll Do:
-
Conduct regular safety checks throughout the night to ensure a secure environment.
-
Provide a warm and respectful wake-up for residents, assist with morning routines, and coordinate safe departures.
-
Oversee breakfast service, making sure the day starts with nourishment and care.
-
Uphold shelter safety protocols while promoting dignity and mutual respect.
-
Help bridge the transition between the shelter and our drop-in center each morning.
Who You Are:
-
Reliable, calm, and adaptable, with a heart for supporting youth and young adults.
-
Able to balance safety responsibilities with genuine human connection.
-
Guided by a youth-centered, trauma-informed approach to care.
Why Waypoint?
