Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Support Specialist to assist with purchase order tracking, supplier communications, and data management. This role supports procurement operations by maintaining accurate records, resolving supplier-initiated changes, and ensuring timely updates to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining the Purchase Order (PO) log in Smartsheets by validating order receipts with requestors and developing a sustainable PO receipting process.
- Support the triage and resolution of Supplier Initiated Changes (SICs) by identifying relevant changes, initiating actions in MasterControl, and following up with responsible parties.
- Track and update purchase order statuses, ensuring requesters are informed of progress and any delays.
- Log and monitor testing POs that have been issued.
- Contact vendors to obtain manufacturing addresses and help close gaps in the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus, but training can be provided
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative support
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with procurement systems and tools (e.g., Smartsheets, MasterControl)
- Experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of supplier management and documentation processes
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
