Job title: Sr. Tax Manager
Location: Canton, MA (hybrid - 3 days from home per week)
Salary: $150-180K base + bonuses
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Tax Manager to join our team in a hybrid capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning for our diverse portfolio of clients while ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of tax regulations as well as a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee tax compliance and planning for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Review tax returns including Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120S for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide tax consulting services and strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
- Ensure that all tax-related activities adhere to GAAP and SSARS standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members in tax-related tasks and professional development.
- Collaborate with audit teams to provide assurance and support during tax audits.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide clients with timely advice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- CPA or EA certification is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Strong experience with tax software and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
