Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Lead serves as a senior recruitment partner responsible for driving full-cycle talent acquisition strategies across the United States while providing day-to-day leadership, guidance, and subject-matter expertise within the recruiting function. This role plays a critical part in shaping workforce growth by attracting, assessing, and securing top talent aligned with organizational goals, values, and long-term business strategy.

In addition to managing complex and high-impact requisitions, the Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist acts as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and HR leadership, ensuring recruitment processes are efficient, compliant, data-driven, and candidate-focused. The role may also assume onboarding coordination responsibilities in the absence of an HR Specialist and support continuous improvement of recruitment practices, employer branding, and diversity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution

  • Lead and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media platforms, employee referrals, and proactive outreach.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, including intake meetings, resume screening, interviews, selection facilitation, offer development, and pre-hire coordination.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, workforce planning needs, and evolving business priorities.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or hard-to-fill requisitions.

Leadership & Functional Support

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and informal leadership to Talent Acquisition Specialists or recruiters, as applicable.
  • Standardize and optimize recruiting workflows, tools, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Support onboarding activities when needed, including coordination of pre-employment requirements and transition to HR operations.

Compliance, Data & Reporting

  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO, OFCCP, and fair hiring practices.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant recruitment data within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate experience) and provide regular insights to HR leadership.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, quality of hire, and candidate engagement.

Employer Branding & DEI

  • Actively promote a positive candidate experience and employer brand throughout the recruitment process.
  • Incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into sourcing and selection strategies.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen talent pipelines and broaden access to underrepresented talent pools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent progressive experience in Talent Acquisition.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, including full-cycle hiring.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and recruitment compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or AIRS Certified Recruiter.
  • Experience recruiting in high-volume, multi-state, or growth-oriented environments.
  • Proven experience mentoring or leading other recruiters.
  • Advanced sourcing experience using Boolean search, social platforms, and passive candidate outreach tools.
  • Background in employer branding, candidate experience design, and DEI-focused recruiting initiatives.
