The salary range for this position is $54,988 - $61,213. New hires typically start within this range based on their qualifications, experience, and considerations of internal equity.
Who You Are
You are an organized and adaptable professional who provides essential logistics and administrative support to the Volunteer Resources Department (VRD). You take pride in managing data and generating reports with accuracy, and you serve as a trusted liaison with strategic sourcing for portal management. As a secondary subject matter expert on VRD systems, you offer reliable support to both internal teams and external customers, always demonstrating Gracious Professionalism® in your interactions. You strengthen departmental operations by maintaining and updating SOPs, and you work collaboratively with the VRD team on projects that advance the strategic priorities of FIRST.
This role has the ability to be a remote working arrangement for the right candidate.

What You Will Do
Lead logistics for VRD throughout the year and at major events (e.g., Championship, Community Conference). Additionally, you will:
- Manage the volunteer portal, including orders, budget tracking, and vendor relationships.
- Provide administrative support, including supply management, event logistics (orientation, travel, catering), meeting coordination, and file organization.
- Serve as a secondary subject matter expert for VRD systems and provide support to internal and external customers.
- Assist with data management and reporting, including volunteer surveys, evaluations, and analysis in partnership with Research & Evaluation.
- Maintain and update VRD policies and procedures to enhance operations.
- Provide project support for initiatives such as Mentor Development, Aurora, XRP, and Volunteer of the Year recognition.
- Support Championship operations, including Volunteer Central, Volunteer Café, and cross-team logistics coordination.
What We Expect
We are seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Typically requires BS/BA or work experience in related discipline
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including SharePoint and Team
- Prioritization, organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with both internal and external customers
- Flexibility to travel 5 - 10% depending on the time of the year
