Job Title: Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III
Location: Hyannis, MA (Candidates must reside 50+ miles from facility)
Assignment Type: Travel Assignment (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (36 Hours/Week)
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend & Holidays Required

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III for a travel assignment. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in phlebotomy and EKG procedures and be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws and collect clinical specimens while ensuring proper patient identification
  • Educate patients on correct specimen collection procedures
  • Transport specimens safely and efficiently to the laboratory
  • Conduct non-invasive cardiac testing, including EKGs, Holter monitoring, and stress tests
  • Accurately complete lab documentation and required forms
  • Research and resolve complex or unusual test requests
  • Document patient data and test results in hospital systems
  • Manage cardiac test ordering and billing information
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding orders, workflow, and issues
  • Follow PPE protocols and maintain safety standards
  • Assist nursing and clinical teams with specimen collection and testing needs
  • Train and support new staff and students as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, quality, and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot specimen collection issues and initiate resolution
  • Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages or expirations
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
  • Provide excellent service to patients, families, and team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in phlebotomy and EKG procedures
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) (required)
  • EKG Certification (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
