We are seeking a talented Sous Chef for a beautifully restored inn located in the scenic Lakes Region of New Hampshire. This unique property features an upscale fine dining restaurant, elegant bistro, and a growing private events business.


This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on culinary leader looking to grow alongside an accomplished Executive Chef while helping shape the food and guest experience at a reimagined hospitality destination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations across multiple outlets
  • Ensure consistency, quality, timing, and presentation during service
  • Train, mentor, and develop culinary team members in a positive, professional environment
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, organization, and food safety compliance
  • Assist with menu development, seasonal features, and event execution
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence
  • Execute weddings, private dinners, and special events with precision

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional kitchen leadership experience
  • Strong culinary fundamentals with attention to detail in prep, plating, and execution
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
  • Experience in both upscale dining and casual concepts preferred
  • Proven ability to lead staff and manage service flow under pressure
  • ServSafe certified or willing to obtain prior to start
