Position Summary:
The Regional Textile Consultant drives revenue through new business development and strategic account management within an assigned U.S. territory, with a focused emphasis on key cities, priority markets, and major target accounts. This role serves as a trusted partner to furniture manufacturers, sales representatives, furniture dealers, designers, and end users, acting as the primary point of contact and product expert for LDI Textiles.
As the regional face of LDI Textiles, the Consultant provides consultative guidance, technical expertise, and market insight to support product specification, customization, and performance needs. This role is fueled by strategic targeting, established relationships, inbound interest, and high‑value opportunities generated through LDI’s partnerships, dealer network, and differentiated offerings—not high‑volume cold calling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with commercial furniture manufacturers, major end users, and strategic dealers and sales representatives
- Research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities using a mix of warm leads, strategic outreach, and targeted prospecting
- Execute a strategic territory plan focused on key cities, priority markets, and high‑value target accounts
- Conduct in‑person prospecting, client visits, and account development activities
- Present products, proposals, pricing, and Print On Demand (POD) customization options with confidence and clarity
- Build and manage a healthy, qualified sales pipeline aligned with territory and major account goals
- Perform thorough needs analyses and translate customer requirements into thoughtful, differentiated textile solutions
- Professionally address concerns, objections, and project challenges to move opportunities forward
- Establish and expand LDI Textiles’ presence within assigned accounts by growing specifications, mindshare, and repeat business
- Lead and support new product introductions, launches, and market education efforts
- Provide technical recommendations related to upholstery applications and product performance
- Maintain sample libraries, memo programs, pricing resources, and sales materials
- Serve as the primary product expert for LDI Textiles, providing guidance on materials, performance, customization, testing, fire codes, and specifications
- Accurately document activities, opportunities, and account updates within the CRM system
- Attend industry events, dealer meetings, and presentations to support relationship building and business development
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Office 365, web‑based CRM platforms, and app‑based expense reporting
- Strong organizational skills with consistent follow‑up and attention to detail
- Ability to independently manage a large, active territory with multiple accounts and priorities
- Comfortable serving as a trusted advisor and technical product resource to external partners
- Flexibility to respond to client needs outside standard business hours
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, marketing, interior design, textiles, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in one or more of the following areas: commercial or contract furniture, furniture dealerships, independent sales representation, or interior design/specification‑driven environments
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals within a territory‑based or major account sales model
- Highly organized, self‑directed, and effective at managing multiple opportunities and accounts simultaneously
Compensation:
- $70,000–$80,000 base salary plus commission
Current Benefits Package:
1. Long Term Disability Insurance after (90) days of employment. LDI will cover 100% of the premium costs related to our company sponsored LTD insurance policy. Summary plan details will be provided to you.
2. Health & Prescription Drug, Vision and Dental Insurance after (30) days of employment. LDI will cover 75% medical insurance expense for individuals and dependents. Vision insurance is 100% employer paid. Dental insurance is paid fully by the employee.
3. You will be eligible for LDI’s incentive program beginning in 2026. Typically, bonuses range from 3%-10% of an employee’s annual salary. Bonus amounts are a factor of both company sales and margin.
4. 401(k) with company match. You will be eligible to take part in LDI’s 401(k) program after (90) days of employment. LDI provides a Company match as follows: 100% match on the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions. Summary plan details will be provided to you.
5. You will receive two (2) weeks of vacation annually. LDI also pays eligible employees for eleven (11) holiday days per year.
