  • Are you confident performing DOT inspections to FMCSA standards?

Core responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair tractor and trailer electrical/mechanical concerns using standard procedures and computer diagnostic tools (JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software) with multimeters on a Windows platform.
  • Deliver thorough preventive maintenance for a mixed fleet of tractors and trailers.
  • Conduct DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
  • Complete PM tasks end-to-end: lubrication, filter replacements, and detailed inspections—addressing interior/exterior appearance plus cab safety and security items.
  • Perform basic electrical work, including replacement of starters, alternators, and batteries.
  • Inspect and replace core engine components; execute transmission and clutch R service driveline components.
  • Remove and replace steering and chassis components as needed.

Technology and diagnostics

  • JPRO and OEM platforms for fault code analysis and system testing
  • Multimeters and standard testing methodologies
  • Windows-based diagnostic environment for software tools

Physical capabilities

  • Lift/pull 50 lbs without restriction.
  • Work while standing or lying for extended periods.
  • Maintain flexible movement to access hard-to-reach equipment.

Accurate diagnoses, on-time PM, fully compliant DOT inspections, and reliable repairs that keep units safe and on the road.
