Position Overview

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional client experience while driving membership sales, client retention, and studio growth. This individual serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and current members, helping create a welcoming, energetic, and professional studio environment. The ideal candidate is personable, sales-driven, organized, and passionate about fitness and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Membership Growth

• Generate new memberships by converting leads, inquiries, and introductory clients into paying members.
  
  
• Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, text messages, and online inquiries.
  
  
• Conduct studio tours and explain membership options, pricing, promotions, and class offerings.
  
  
• Follow established sales processes and lead follow-up procedures to maximize conversion rates.
  
  
• Meet or exceed individual and studio sales goals, including membership sales and retail targets.
  
  
• Proactively engage prospective clients and identify opportunities to grow studio revenue.
  
  

Client Experience & Retention

• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients and visitors.
  
  
• Build strong relationships with members to support engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
  
  
• Assist clients with scheduling, memberships, billing questions, and general studio inquiries.
  
  
• Address client concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  
  
• Educate clients on studio offerings, policies, and membership benefits.
  
  

Studio Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and studio environment.
  
  
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  
  
• Support class check-ins, waitlists, scheduling, and general front-of-house operations.
  
  
• Assist with retail inventory, merchandising, sales transactions, and restocking.
  
  
• Ensure studio policies, operational procedures, and brand standards are consistently followed.
  
  
• Support studio events, local marketing initiatives, and community outreach efforts.
  
  

Teamwork & Accountability

• Communicate effectively with instructors, fellow sales associates, and studio leadership.
  
  
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing sales coaching.
  
  
• Maintain accurate client information, lead records, and sales activity in studio systems.
  
  
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and accountability in all assigned responsibilities.
  
  
• Contribute to a positive team culture and support the overall success of the studio.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, or fitness industry experience preferred.
  
  
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  
  
• Ability to confidently discuss membership options and close sales.
  
  
• Comfortable working toward individual and studio performance goals.
  
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  
  
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Work Environment

This position operates in a boutique Pilates studio environment and requires regular interaction with clients, prospective members, instructors, and management. The role combines sales responsibilities with front-of-house operations to support a welcoming, organized, and successful studio.
