Licensed Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator

The Town of Canaan is seeking applicants for a full-time Licensed Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator to assist with the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Town’s water and sewer facilities. Responsibilities include daily plant operations, system monitoring, sampling, recordkeeping, equipment maintenance, and responding to operational issues as needed.

Applicants must hold applicable New Hampshire water and wastewater treatment certifications, or have the ability to obtain required certifications within a reasonable period. A valid driver’s license, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work weekends, evenings, and in adverse weather conditions are required.

The Town offers competitive pay and benefits. Compensation up to $70,000 depending on experience and certifications.
