Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early childhood students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Serving an elementary caseload, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact, working full-time between August 2026 and June 2027. We're looking for four dedicated professionals who are passionate about inclusive education and ready to create a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- State certification in both Special Education and Elementary Education (dual certification required)
- Proven experience in early childhood or elementary special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to create and maintain detailed instructional records
- Commitment to fostering growth and independence in all learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students with varying abilities
- Implement IEPs while tracking and reporting on student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies to promote student achievement
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment
