Job DescriptionOverview
Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date: 07/30/2026. Duration: 4 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,947-$1,978 per week. Guaranteed hours: Not guaranteed. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Employment Type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: inpatient hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to inpatient units including NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and Adult/Pediatric general units per physician orders
- Manage ventilator therapy, including initiation, adjustment, weaning, and weaning readiness assessment for both invasive and noninvasive support
- Administer airway clearance therapies and inhaled medications; perform chest physiotherapy as ordered
- Monitor patient responses, review arterial blood gases, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Document all care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and participate in rounds and care conferences
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit protocols; provide patient and family education as appropriate
- Weekend coverage as needed; schedule flexibility required; no on-call responsibilities

Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NBRC Verification; NRP
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Ability to work in an inpatient hospital setting across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general units
- Reliable transportation is recommended due to limited public transit options in the area
