Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A registered nurse with telemetry skills is needed to provide skilled care across multiple medical-surgical telemetry units. This role requires flexibility to float between up to eight different hospital units, offering a dynamic and varied nursing experience. The position is contract-based with night shifts, including every other weekend, totaling 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips every four hours.
- Administer cardiac drips accurately and provide critical cardiac care.
- Float among various units including medical-surgical telemetry, emergency department, acute mental health, and ICU transfer-ready patients.
- Deliver safe and effective medication administration and patient care.
- Maintain clear, timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience.
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring with the ability to measure intervals and interpret strips.
- Experience with TR Band and cardiac drips preferred.
- Ability to manage patient assignments with clinician-to-patient ratios up to 6:1 on nights.
