Job Description

The Scientist will assist in supporting method development and qualification under the direction of a client scientist, as well as performing a defined set of analytical techniques for routine sample analysis. Techniques within scope include liquid and gas chromatography (LC and GC), USP dissolution testing (Apparatus I and II), particle size distribution, and other compendial methods. The role also requires strong documentation practices and general laboratory organization and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute assigned analytical tests for routine sample submissions
• Support the development and qualification of new analytical methods
• Identify and help troubleshoot equipment and basic method issues
• Develop proficiency as a backup analyst for additional test methods
• Provide feedback to client scientists on the performance of existing assays and method

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with 3–4 years of industry experience, or
• Master’s degree in a science-related field with at least 1 year of industry experience
• Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing:
  • LC / HPLC / UPLC
  • GC
  • USP Dissolution (Apparatus I and II)
  • Particle size distribution instrumentation
• Dissolution testing experience is required
• Experience with MS, NMR, or IR spectroscopy is a plus
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Details:
