Job Description
The Scientist will assist in supporting method development and qualification under the direction of a client scientist, as well as performing a defined set of analytical techniques for routine sample analysis. Techniques within scope include liquid and gas chromatography (LC and GC), USP dissolution testing (Apparatus I and II), particle size distribution, and other compendial methods. The role also requires strong documentation practices and general laboratory organization and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned analytical tests for routine sample submissions
- Support the development and qualification of new analytical methods
- Identify and help troubleshoot equipment and basic method issues
- Develop proficiency as a backup analyst for additional test methods
- Provide feedback to client scientists on the performance of existing assays and method
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with 3–4 years of industry experience, or
- Master’s degree in a science-related field with at least 1 year of industry experience
- Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing:
- LC / HPLC / UPLC
- GC
- USP Dissolution (Apparatus I and II)
- Particle size distribution instrumentation
- Dissolution testing experience is required
- Experience with MS, NMR, or IR spectroscopy is a plus
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
