Department Overview

Integrated Healthcare: NENA comprises a collaborative team of 28 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, integrated within our health system, which includes over 700 affiliated doctors and a clinical partnership with Tufts Medical Center.

Subspecialties: Our subspecialists cover a range of areas, including epileptology, stroke, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular conditions, and migraine management.

Collaboration: NENA serves over 70,000 patients across the Merrimack Valley. Through our partnership, we aim to broaden healthcare access, including plans for a neuro-immunology program and the establishment of a Memory Care Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general neurology care to a culturally diverse community in the Greater Lowell and Southern New Hampshire regions.
  • Welcome subspecialty interests, particularly in Epileptology and memory care.
  • Focus on patient comfort, convenience, and enhancing quality of life, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, supported by Nurse Practitioners and flexible scheduling that allows for documentation time during your workday.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Call responsibilities are shared among the NENA team, generally at a ratio of 1:5 for Lowell General Hospital.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a medical degree (MD or DO) or an equivalent foreign qualification.
  • Board certification in Rheumatology is required to be fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician at Lowell General Hospital.
