Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Rhode Island Para and/or Teacher Assistant Certification (required)
- Experience working with children in a K-12 educational environment
- Prior background implementing behavioral strategies in classroom or 1:1 settings preferred
- Comfort supporting students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, adapting assistance to meet varied academic and developmental needs
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student success
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized attention to students requiring 1:1 support
- Assist in both classroom and specialized instructional environments
- Implement behavior intervention strategies under supervision of school staff
- Support academic and socio-emotional growth for students at multiple grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote positive educational outcomes
