Job DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join the construction team supporting projects at Southern NH Hospital in Nashua. This role is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform jobsite preparation prior to project start dates
- Construct, erect, install, and repair wood and other structural components
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
- Oversee and coordinate work performed by subcontractors as needed
- Complete and submit daily timecards accurately and on time
- Assist with punch list completion and final project closeout tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment
- Experience using carpentry hand tools and power tools
