The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As our Permitting Specialist, you are the essential link between our electrical projects and local town offices. You will facilitate a seamless process from the initial permit filing to the final project inspection.

  • Permit Management: Prepare, submit, and track all permit applications for residential electrical work, including new work, renovations, and service upgrades.
  • Municipal Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication with city, town, and other relevant municipal authorities regarding permitting and inspections.
  • Scheduling Coordinator: Organize and schedule all required electrical inspections with local inspectors and our field technicians.
  • Project Tracking: Proactively identify and resolve any permitting delays to keep our projects on schedule.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of all permit and inspection records.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with division managers, electricians, and customers to ensure everyone is informed of the permit and inspection status.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven Success: 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented office environment.
  • Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and improve upon new software and systems.
  • Detail Oriented: High level of accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Reliability: A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Positive Attitude: Service-oriented with a proactive approach to work.
