Role Description:
As our Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing tailored instruction that meets the intensive needs of students with Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder. Your role will involve developing robust IEPs, employing diverse teaching strategies, and working collaboratively with families and specialists to ensure that each student receives the focused support they require.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Customized Lesson Planning: Develop individualized lesson plans that are specifically designed to support the learning goals of students with Level 3 Autism.
- IEP Creation and Review: Construct, implement, and periodically update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure they effectively address each students needs.
- Adaptive Instruction: Utilize a variety of teaching methods to reach students with diverse learning challenges, especially those with severe autism.
- Ongoing Assessment: Monitor and document student progress regularly, making instructional adjustments to promote continuous improvement.
- Classroom Environment: Build and maintain a structured, nurturing, and safe classroom that supports student engagement.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with families, therapists, and educational teams to provide a holistic approach to student success.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
- Must hold a current New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification.
- Prior experience working with Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential.
- Proven ability in differentiated instruction, IEP management, and effective classroom leadership.
- Exceptional communication and collaborative skills.
