Job DescriptionTimberNook Sensory Nature Program Support StaffDracut, MA DescriptionPart time: School Year Program: Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30-2:30; 6 days a month; potential to sub for other days/times at other Middlesex County sites but not required. Responsibilities Oversee the safety and logistical needs of all the children.Check in with families at the start and the end of each program day.Support children in their efforts to keep track of their belongings.Escort children to the bathroom if it is visibly out of range or help as needed. Physically assist with program set-up and site clean-up.Lead songs and activities as requested by the TimberNook certified provider. Facilitate play needs (if a child needs additional loose parts, tool use support, instruction).Empower the children by allowing them to direct their own play and by observing from a safe distance, intervening as necessary for safety and/or assistance with social-emotional skills. RequirementsExude energy, enthusiasm and patience with the children. Be flexible, organized, prompt and responsible. Be able to work effectively with other staff, interact kindly with all children, and communicate easily with families. Be personable, LOVE working outside in all kinds of weather, immune to bugs, dirt and mud, physically able to participate in outdoor activities.Experience working with children a plus Salary$20.00-$22.00/hour based on experience, education, certification
