Looking for a short-term school-based opportunity where you can make a meaningful impact? ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide coverage for an FMLA leave in Sharon, Massachusetts. This position offers the opportunity to support a small group of students while working alongside a collaborative school team.
With just 11 students total, all in grades K–4, this could be an excellent opportunity for a PT looking for a focused caseload and a temporary assignment. Clinicians with school-based experience, as well as those transitioning from outpatient, pediatric, rehabilitation, or hospital settings, are encouraged to apply.
Position Details
Short-term FMLA coverage position
Dates: September 2026 – January 2027
Onsite position in Sharon, MA
11 students total
All students are in grades K–4
Small, manageable caseload
Collaborative special education and multidisciplinary team
Opportunity to provide consistent support throughout the leave coverage period
Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy services in accordance with student IEP goals
Support students with mobility, gross motor, functional, and physical needs
Conduct assessments and monitor student progress as needed
Implement individualized treatment plans and IEP services
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
Participate in IEP meetings and provide clinical recommendations when appropriate
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license
Ability to provide onsite services in a school-based setting
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required
PTs transitioning from outpatient, pediatric, rehabilitation, hospital, or other clinical settings are encouraged to apply
