Schedule: 2pm-10pm Sunday through Thursday, Off Friday and Saturday
Location: Shutesbury, MA
Position Summary: The Shift Supervisor works collaboratively with the Program Manager to provide leadership oversight within the residence. Primary responsibility is to ensure the health and safety of all individuals residing in the home and ensure that supports are provided in a manner that promotes dignity and respect. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the residence in the absence of the Program Manager and is responsible for ensuring the residence functions within compliance with all agency policy and procedures as well as all state regulations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of individuals residing in the home
Provides supervision, assistance, and support to individuals receiving services from Almadan, Inc. in accordance with the individuals support plan
Ability to physically assist individuals as needed to promote independence in activities of daily living skills, to include but not limited to: Personal care, community integration, meal preparation, funds management, and social skills
Perform daily housekeeping task and cleaning of residence to include laundry, sweeping, mopping, dishes, and snow shoveling; ensuring to engage individuals within the residence in these tasks when appropriate.
Ensure that the residence operates in accordance with all state regulations and within compliance with all agency policy and procedures
Ensure that the home environment is clean, organized, and ensures individual choice in the homes decorations and furnishings.
Work collaboratively with the Program Manager to provide leadership and supervision in the residence
Partner with the Program Manager for oversight of services to ensure all supports are provided in accordance with the individuals support plan
Responsible for coaching, role-modeling and training staff
Assists in the development of treatment planning and implementation
Coordinates and provides coordination and support to individuals for medical appointments and community activities
Seeks opportunities for individuals to develop and maintain community membership
Assists the Program Manager in the development and facilitation of all staff meetings, scheduling, and participation in accordance with agency policy and procedure
Attends required meetings as instructed by the Program Manager/Director
Performs all other tasks and responsibilities as instructed by the Program Manager/Director
Participates in routine supervision with staff in accordance with agency policy
Maintain program schedule in accordance with allotted hours and approved ratio
Maintain current mandatory certifications to include, not limited to First Aid/CPR and MAP
Responsible for safely transporting individuals in agency vehicles as well as personal vehicles in the absence of agency vehicles
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in human services preferred At least two years of experience in human services
Knowledgeable of DDS/DMH regulations
Must have valid drivers license and reliable vehicle on site
