Position Overview
The Grounds Maintenance Laborer is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course and surrounding property. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily golf course maintenance tasks including mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough
- Assist with course setup, including changing cups, setting tee markers, and maintaining course presentation
- Operate and maintain small equipment such as string trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles
- Rake bunkers and maintain sand conditions
- Assist with divot repair and general turf maintenance
- Perform landscape maintenance including trimming, edging, and general cleanup
- Assist with irrigation system operation and basic repairs as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facility and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials
- Support tournament and special event course setup
- Uphold Golf standards of course conditions, professionalism, and teamwork
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping or golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
- Team-oriented attitude with attention to detail
- Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
