Tecomet is hiring a CNC Machinist IV – Swiss Programmer to serve as a subject matter expert within its precision machining operations. This role supports complex Swiss machining processes, programming, and continuous improvement initiatives tied to critical medical and aerospace components.

This is a high-impact position for experienced Swiss machinists who want to lead, mentor, and drive process improvements in a technically advanced shop.

What You’ll Be Doing\n

    \n
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss machines for high-precision components
  • \n

  • Develop and optimize machining processes for tight-tolerance parts
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot CNC programs, tooling, and machining issues
  • \n

  • Lead new setup development including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
  • \n

  • Serve as a technical expert and mentor for machinists and operators
  • \n

  • Improve and create work instructions and process documentation
  • \n

  • Collaborate with engineering on fixture design and process improvements
  • \n

  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools
  • \n

  • Optimize feeds, speeds, and cycle times for efficiency
  • \n

  • Maintain documentation in line with GMP/GDP standards
  • \n

  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • \n

  • Machines: CNC Swiss-type lathes (Star, Tsugami, Citizen, etc.)
  • \n

  • Controls: Fanuc-based Swiss controls
  • \n

  • Materials: Titanium, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, specialty alloys
  • \n

What We’re Looking ForRequired\n

    \n
  • 8+ years CNC Swiss machining experience
  • \n

  • Strong programming, setup, and troubleshooting ability
  • \n

  • Deep understanding of multi-axis Swiss machining processes
  • \n

  • High school diploma or GED
  • \n

  • Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • \n

  • Ability to lead and mentor other machinists
  • \n

\n

Preferred\n

    \n
  • Associate degree or machinist certification
  • \n

  • Experience in medical or aerospace manufacturing
  • \n

  • Experience improving processes, tooling, and cycle times
  • \n
