An established high-technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Procurement professional to manage strategic suppliers, purchasing activities, material availability, and supply chain initiatives within a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage purchasing activities across assigned commodities and supplier base, including POs, acknowledgments, expedites, delivery commitments, cancellations, and schedule changes.
- Monitor material availability, shortages, lead times, and inventory levels to support production and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate pricing, lead times, and planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance, capacity, quality, financial stability, and supply risk.
- Identify and lead initiatives focused on inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, supplier consolidation, and material flow improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to resolve supply and material issues.
- Analyze forecasts and supplier capacity to identify potential constraints and develop mitigation plans.
- Conduct supplier visits and audits as needed and provide guidance to Buyers and other Supply Chain team members.

Qualifications:
\n

- 7+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, materials management, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field
- CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM certification is a plus.
- Experience managing strategic suppliers and resolving complex supply, delivery, and material issues.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
- Experience purchasing or managing suppliers for precision machined parts, sheet metal, electromechanical assemblies, motors/motion components, cable assemblies, vacuum components, electronics, or PCBAs.
- Background in semiconductor equipment, robotics, medical devices, aerospace, industrial automation, precision manufacturing, or other advanced manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship-management skills, including pricing, lead times, capacity, risk, and performance improvement.
