Role Description This is a full-time, on-site High School Mathematics Teacher role based in Attleboro, MA. The teacher will design and deliver engaging math lessons across various high school levels, with a likely focus on Algebra and related courses, aligned with curriculum standards and school expectations. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student learning through assignments and exams, and providing timely feedback and support. The role involves maintaining accurate grades and records, communicating regularly with students, families, and colleagues, and participating in department meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. The teacher is also expected to contribute to the broader school community by supporting Bishop Feehan’s Catholic mission, fostering an inclusive classroom environment, and upholding school policies and values.

Qualifications

  • Strong content knowledge in Mathematics, including Algebra and related high school math subjects.
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design that aligns with standards and supports diverse learners.
  • Effective Communication skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Experience teaching middle school or high school students, with the ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Appropriate state teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification in secondary mathematics.
  • Comfort using educational technology and digital tools for instruction, assessment, and communication.
  • Commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and mission-aligned classroom in a Catholic school environment (candidates of all backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to apply).
  • Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to working within a department and school community.
