General Summary

The CAD Engineer is responsible for the development and improvement of all mechanical design activities associated with the assembly engineering group. Job responsibilities include tooling and fixturing design and development of mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to design and manufacture components to support a wide range of processes.
  • Accurately recreate existing components in Solidworks with high levels of precision.
  • Produce models and detailed drawings from information submitted via various forms of communication.
  • Assemble designed components and modify mechanical components when needed to ensure proper function.
  • Maintain design updates and troubleshoot tooling issues.
  • 3D print and post-process designs for rapid prototyping and end-use applications.
  • Perform design library management as well as hardware inventory management.
  • Communicate and maintain working relationships with vendors both external and internal to manufacture your designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or directly related discipline
  • 2 years of applicable experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, CSWP level preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Hands-on experience with machining and/or 3D printing.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of metalworking methods.
  • Skills:
    1. Ability to read mechanical diagrams and drawings.
    2. Strong knowledge of engineering design principles.
    3. Strong attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    4. Demonstrates solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
