Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and state standards

- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and families to ensure coordinated support
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay current on best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification or equivalent
- Experience teaching special education at the elementary level
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for diverse learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement
