Our sales associates guide the customer journey from inquiry to installation. We’re looking for customer enthusiasts who can help home and business owners navigate a major remodeling investment. While you will certainly be expected to soak up product knowledge, your most important trait is the ability to bond with prospective customers. You’re the kind of person that customers naturally like and trust. Our best sales associates view themselves as a business within the business, leveraging their personal brands alongside our powerful national and local branding. As such, you should be equally comfortable greeting customers in the showroom and promoting our store through your professional and personal networks. While you place a premium on the customer experience, you also don’t hesitate to close when the time is right. You have the conviction to do what’s right for your customers by helping them acquire the flooring of their dreams! Since most of our products are installed, you should also care deeply about the beauty and quality of a job done right. Duties
Expectations for the Sales Consultant
- Provide outstanding customer service and determine their flooring needs
- Handle sales from start to finish
- Sell flooring, counter tops, cabinets and home care products
- Review space/area measurements, calculate number of materials needed, create proposals/estimates for client approval, provide flooring sample suggestions and perform quality control throughout the project
- Answer customer questions and complaints
- Help customer with decorating and/or design advice
- Prospect for new business
- Manage time in the showroom and prospecting for new clients
- Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
- Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
- Maintain a clean and neat showroom
Requirements
Qualifications for the Sales Consultant
- Highschool diploma
- Critical thinking skills
- Basic computer, social media math skills
- Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
- Self-starter with advanced time management skills detailed oriented
- Positive attitude and desire to succeed
- Personally well-organized
- Advanced time management skills detailed oriented
- Google or Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Flexible work hours to include Saturdays
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Retail sales experience a plus
- Ability to read floor plan drawings create project estimates (Willing to train)
- Knowledge of floor coverings countertops a plus (Willing to train)
- Knowledge of RFMS a plus (Willing to train)
- Flooring knowledge

- Earning potential of $60,000 to $75,000 annually – Full time
