Schedule: Monday–Saturday
Position: Experienced Kitchen Cook
The Natural Grocer is looking for an experienced kitchen team member to join our scratch-made grab & go kitchen. We prepare healthy, delicious meals from scratch, with a menu that changes daily, so there’s always something new to create.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys working with food and people. Some professional kitchen experience is required — this is not an entry-level position.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare healthy meals, salads, soups, sides, and other grab & go foods from scratch.
- Follow our recipes and food-preparation standards consistently.
- Help with daily prep, cooking, plating, packaging, and kitchen organization.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to keep daily production running smoothly.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.
- Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu items.
- Learn our systems and gradually take on more responsibility.
The Right Person
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous kitchen or cooking experience.
- Enjoys cooking from scratch and working with fresh, wholesome ingredients.
- Works well with others and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
- Is reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
- Takes pride in quality and consistency.
- Is flexible and excited by a menu that changes daily.
- Enjoys being part of a local community.
- Wants to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time.
- Is willing to work at either our Newburyport or Ipswich location.
