Key Qualifications:
- Registered Radiology Technologist with experience in imaging
- Proficient in using x-ray equipment specific to bone mineral density measurement
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care during imaging procedures
- Strong verbal communication skills for patient education and protocol discussion
Primary Duties:
- Prepare patients by clearly explaining procedures, answering questions, and managing schedule coordination
- Perform bone density scans, review images, and select alternate scan sites as necessary
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, including densitometer and computer equipment maintenance
- Maintain accurate patient records and lab cleanliness
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical companies regarding protocol details and documentation
- Ensure clinical protocols are followed safely, adapting as needed for unique cases
