Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Radiology Technologist with experience in imaging
  • Proficient in using x-ray equipment specific to bone mineral density measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care during imaging procedures
  • Strong verbal communication skills for patient education and protocol discussion

Primary Duties:

  • Prepare patients by clearly explaining procedures, answering questions, and managing schedule coordination
  • Perform bone density scans, review images, and select alternate scan sites as necessary
  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, including densitometer and computer equipment maintenance
  • Maintain accurate patient records and lab cleanliness
  • Collaborate with pharmaceutical companies regarding protocol details and documentation
  • Ensure clinical protocols are followed safely, adapting as needed for unique cases
