Position Summary
The Manager of IT will be responsible for developing and executing the company's IT vision, ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of all IT systems, and supporting the company's growth and operational goals. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in managing IT infrastructure, systems integration, and business process improvements within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and business systems.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, systems integration, and cybersecurity.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO) and data security best practices.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- IT Infrastructure & Operations:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems and platforms.
- Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and performance.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and intellectual property.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Business Systems & Process Improvement:
- Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP, MRP, and other business-critical systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- User Support & Training:
- Oversee helpdesk and technical support services to ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency with IT systems and tools.
- Project Management:
- Lead IT projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business needs.
Internal and External Relationships
This position interacts with many internal departments including Production, Quality and Corporate IT regularly. External relationships include vendors and suppliers.
